This week’s theme is Abstraction — a world where colour, texture, line and shape are free from the need to represent anything specific. These images explore unexpected combinations of painted surfaces, fragments, marks and patterns, allowing each composition to find its own visual rhythm. Inspired by the Fauves, the “wild beasts” of early twentieth-century painting, these images explore a world where colour does not have to obey reality: skies can be red, faces blue, trees purple and shadows unexpectedly bright.
