This week’s theme is Fauvism, a celebration of bold colour, freedom and expression. Inspired by the Fauves, the “wild beasts” of early twentieth-century painting, these images explore a world where colour does not have to obey reality: skies can be red, faces blue, trees purple and shadows unexpectedly bright. It is a week for letting colour speak for itself, with energy, simplicity and a little wildness.
